Omnisphere 2 is a game-changer in the realm of virtual synthesizers, offering unparalleled sound design possibilities, an extensive sound library, and seamless hardware integration. This innovative approach bridges the gap between software and hardware synthesizers, allowing musicians to harness the power of both worlds simultaneously. By connecting a supported hardware synth to the computer, users can control Omnisphere 2's parameters directly from the physical knobs and buttons on their hardware, providing a seamless workflow and hands-on experience. One groundbreaking feature introduced in Omnisphere 2 is its ability to integrate with popular hardware synthesizers through its 'Hardware Synth Integration' feature. Seamless Integration with Hardware Synths Furthermore, its intuitive interface allows even beginners to dive into the world of synthesis without feeling overwhelmed. In addition to this unparalleled flexibility in sound design, Omnisphere 2 also provides numerous effects like filters, modulation options and more than 60 built-in DSP effect processors. This hybrid approach enables users to create a wide range of distinctive sounds by blending different techniques seamlessly. Omnisphere 2 features a powerful synthesis engine that combines various types of synthesis methods like wavetable, granular, sample-based and virtual analog. Moreover, with regular updates from Spectrasonics that introduce new sounds to the collection, Omnisphere 2 ensures that its users stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of music production. This application also allows users to import their audio files and manipulate them using the granular synthesis engine, offering endless creative possibilities. From classic analog tones to complex cinematic textures, users can find inspiration in an array of unique patches. What sets Omnisphere 2 apart from its competitors is its vast library of sounds that caters to the diverse needs of modern music producers. With an extensive library of over 14,000 sounds, advanced arpeggiation, and groundbreaking synthesis capabilities, this software is a must-have tool for music producers, composers, and sound designers across various genres. Developed by Spectrasonics, a leading company in the world of virtual instruments, Omnisphere 2 takes sound design to new levels of innovation and creativity. A buffer size of 256 is usually a good compromise between good performance and acceptable latency, but a larger value may be needed if you need more CPU power.Omnisphere 2 is a powerful and versatile virtual synthesizer application designed for both Windows and Mac platforms. Increasing the buffer size diminishes the CPU load and reduces audio glitches, but at the price of increased latency. One solution is to increase the host’s audio buffer size. If your performance is overloading the CPU, audio glitches can occur. Reducing “Voices” to 16, or 10, or even fewer is one of the first things you should try in order to significantly reduce CPU usage / overload. High values can put tremendous demand on the CPU. You can adjust the maximum number of notes per Part with the Voices menu on the Main Page. Omnisphere allows up to 64 notes per part to be played simultaneously. In some situations, you may need to perform several of these operations to remedy CPU overload issues. They are listed in the recommended order of implementation, starting with the easiest ones that have the biggest payoff. You should consider all of them, but note that some may not be appropriate for your individual circumstances. This section describes actions you can take to minimize audio glitches and CPU overload. If your system is not configured properly, playing those Patches might produce audio glitches. However, certain Patches employ more sophisticated effects or large numbers of streamed samples, and those may require special attention. The vast majority of Omnisphere Patches will play comfortably in your host, without over-stressing the computer’s CPU or memory.
